Dinner at the Park & Fiesta Days Carnival

Spanish Fork celebrates the 24th of July holiday with their annual "Fiesta Days". I had to go pick some things up at the district office after drill one morning and I saw them setting up the carnival just off of Spanish Fork's main street. I texted Annie later that day and asked her if they were taking Ryan to the carni, since he loved the carnival at the Ute Stampede. She said she was thinking about it, but would have to ask Jim.

Well, the next night was family night at the carnival so tickets were $1 each and each ride only took one ticket. Annie called me and asked if we wanted to go. So, we said yes, especially since Scott had the day off and Amanda was staying with us because she had been attending a softball camp at UVU.

So, we met at Annie's house and then went down to the park first to get us something to eat. We had some yummy Navajo tacos and Scott had a tri-tip beef sandwich. We also had some roasted corn on the cob--yum! I'm into corn on the cob lately!
Here we are enjoying our food! Poor Ryan--he just wanted to get to the carni. That is why he is still in the stroller!
Jakey--he's such a good boy!
Ryan, still hanging out in the stroller. But, come to find out, he was having a rough day with his asthma. Plus, he just wanted to get to the carnival!
Ryan's first ride--the cars.
Doesn't he look cool!
Amanda even rode some rides--here she is on the Yo Yo.
Me, just chillin', well, trying to chill while Amanda rode some rides!

We went back over to the kiddie rides to see what Annie and Jim and boys were doing. They were ready to leave. The carnival had got really busy and the lines were quite long. So, we went back over to the park so Jim could get something to eat.

We hung out with them while Jim ate. It was a fun night and I'm glad we went down, even if it was a little bit hot at first. As soon as the sun went down, it was nice.

There is still one more carnival coming to Spanish Fork. The Utah County Fair has the same carnival that they had at Fiesta Days. Maybe we can hang with the Nielson's again and watch Ryan ride the roller coaster. He loves it and it is funny to watch him ride it.

It was a fun week with Amanda staying at our house. On Thursday night, we went down to a movie in Payson. I had two free passes that I hadn't used yet, so we went down and saw "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". It was pretty good.

Then on Friday night, Scott had to work, but Amanda and I went out to Paula and Casey's house to one of their summer movie nights. It was a BBQ. We took hamburgers and some Scotcheroos, which were yum! Then, Casey sets up this big screen in their back yard. There were quite a few people there. We watched the movie, "Up". I had not seen this movie, so I was glad it was something that I had not seen. It was good, kinda had sad parts too. We headed home right after the movie, especially since we had to get up early for the Mapleton and Spanish Fork parades the next morning!
