Welcome to the Bridal Shower!
She received lots of fun gifts.

I decorated in purple, which is one of her colors for the reception.

Fun to see everyone that came.

Mr. and Mrs. pillows from my mom and sisters

Cheri and Alex came - Alex is actually engaged too!
 Hollie and Donna
Amanda helped me so much with the shower.  Hollie helped us get ready too.
Kendrick and his sisters - he loves to see them!

Everything turned out great and Hollie received a lot of nice things.  The wedding is a couple weeks away.  So happy and excited for Hollie and Andrew!

Memorial Day 2014

On thing about Memorial Day this year, school wasn't out yet!  We still had to go back for three days after!  Boo!

We did, however, stop by the grave of Scott's mom. I didn't ever get to meet Verlee.  I've just heard about her and what a great pediatric nurse she was.  Someday we will get to meet her and she can meet Kendrick.

These two - you can't tell they're related at all can you?

Kendrick

Kendrick loves super heroes.  I think he got this from all of his cousins who also love to dress up in super hero costumes.  Kendrick doesn't have one.  He usually borrows one from Jake and Ryan or plays in the ones my moms has when we are down at Levan.

Well, big sister Amanda came to rescue.  She bought Kendrick a Batman cape when she was in California with some friends.
 Kendrick was excited!
 His own super hero costume!

Kendrick has been loving the spring weather and loves to play outside.
Here's a few pics of him in front of the purple iris we have in our back year.
He also love to pick strawberries from the strawberry patch growing in front of the iris flowers.
It's going to be a great summer, which is just around the corner!

Officer Retreat

One drill team comes to an end and the next weekend another one begins!  We attended the BDT Leadership Retreat at the Zermatt Resort in Midway on May 9 and 10, 2014.

New officers for 2014-15 - Jordyn, Danielle, Emily, Haylie, Brandi, Brooklyn, and Tori.
It's going to be a fun year!
They had a lot of fun planning things for our upcoming year and playing games too!
Learning some stretches to help our team with flexibility!

Tori made the officers these cute notebooks.
We also received this banner to hang in the dance studio to remind us to Be 212 degrees!
They also heard some great speakers.
Here they are with all of the others at the retreat.
They were challenged to send BDT a motivational thought for BDT's motivational Monday that they post on social media.  MMHS was the first team they posted!
I'm excited for another great year and to see what this team can accomplish!

Kendrick's Preschool Graduation

On May 9, 2014 was Kendrick's first preschool graduation.  I guess it should be called a preschool year end ceremony or celebration.  At least in Kendrick's case, he still has two years of preschool before he will "graduate" from preschool.  But, nonetheless, today was preschool graduation.
This was the class coming in - as they played "pomp and circumstance"- just like a real graduation!  The pic is blurry, but I posted it anyway!
Sitting on the rug to answer some questions.
I tried to get Kendrick's attention so I could get a better pic, but this was the best I could do.
They were asking them what they wanted to be when they grew up.
Kendrick said he wanted to be a mermaid?  Mainly because a girl had said that earlier, so a couple of the other kids said that too!

Listening to Mrs. Crandall speak about the class.
Kendrick's answer to what he wants to be when he grows up.
Singing a song.

 Yummy treats!

 Kendrick sampled them all!

Kendrick also gave me a geranium flower for Mother's Day.
We're so proud of Kendrick and love seeing him learn and grow more each day!  I sometimes think, what would I do without this little boy?  He brings so much love and joy into our lives!  I am so lucky to be his mom and so lucky that everything worked out the way it has in my life!  I'm so blessed!
