Spring Tulips

Scott planted some tulip bulbs that we got from my dad.  I loved all of the colors and to have flowers in our yard for Spring.  We had a few daffodils already, but I loved having the tulips too!

Here are some pictures we took of Kendrick with the tulips one afternoon when we got home from church.
Sometimes we have a hard time getting him to look at the camera.
 Almost got him!
 Getting a closer look.
 Checking the tulips out.
I think he wanted to pick one.
Moving over to check out the red ones.

 Red tulips
We had pink ones too!

Spring is one of my favorite seasons!  I love the colors, the blossoms, and how everything greens up.  I also love it when we have nice weather like we've had so far this Spring.

Like Father Like Son

Everyone tells us how much Kendrick looks like Scott.  Well, not only does he look like his dad, but he likes to do things like his dad.

The weekend of April 26-27, I was judging a dance competition in Logan.  The competition paid for a hotel room on Friday night since it is about a two hour trip up to Logan and I needed to be there Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m.  So, Scott and Kendrick came along for the ride.

After judging all day, we took a drive around Logan to see the sights.  Scott lived in Logan while he was attending USU when we first started dating.  I am also familiar with Logan because of all the CTE Business workshops and drill team camps I have been to at USU.  So, it was fun to see what was new in Logan.

We decided to stop and get some "Aggie Ice Cream".  After enjoying our yummy ice cream, Kendrick and Scott were relaxing on the grass.  Kendrick asked me to "take a picture mom, I'm like dad".  It was cute--he really was laying on the grass just like his dad.
Here's the picture he asked me to take.
Kendrick is definitely a "daddy's boy".  He loves his dad!

Spring Break 2013

For Spring Break this year, we decided to head down to St. George for a quick weekend trip.  Because Scott was fairly new at his job and he had just taken a few days off when we went to Florida with the drill team, he didn't want to ask for more time off.

It was fun to get away to some warmer weather and swim in the pool.

 Swimming with Dad.
The hotel had an indoor/outdoor pool.  You could go through the curtain behind Scott in this picture to get to the other pool.
This was my Spring Break - time to relax poolside watching Scott and Kendrick have fun in the pool.  We had a great time, even if it was for just a day!
 Checking out the hot tub.
 It felt good!
After the pool, we went out to dinner and then came back to the hotel and relaxed some more.  The next morning we went to breakfast at the Bear Paw CafĂ©.  They have yummy pancakes and waffles!  We had to wait a bit, but not too bad.  It was worth it!

It was a short and simple trip for our Spring Break, but we loved it!  Kendrick especially loved swimming!  He talked about it for days.
