Back to the Grind

School resumed on January 2!  We had a really short Christmas break this year!  Oh well, the drill team had a competition on January 4, so I knew we needed to get back to the grind!  January is the big month of final competitions and Region!

The Ellevés performed at the girls and boys games on January 3.  First, at the girls game we performed our military routine.  Changes had been made and we were ready to rock it at the next competition!

  I love our new costumes!
Our routine has a lot of intensity!
This is a cool visual in our routine where the center girls hold the heads of the side girls.
 Of course there's a kickline!
 End pose!

For the boys game, we performed our character routine.  Our character routine this year is "Diva Housewives".  We start out as a housewive and then we change our costume into a diva and we sing and dance and clean with a "diva" attitude.

We had recently added the lime green fabric to our costumes, a new headband with more color, and green "cleaning" rags to our routine.  It was amazing what all that did to the routine!
Look at you working hard. . . Acting out various housewife duties.
 I can cook too!
Divas!
