Basketball Performances

December means more basketball halftimes for the drill team to perform their competition routines.  One problem though, our new dance costumes were not going to be ready for the basketball game.  So, what do we do, we get out old ones.  In fact, they are the oldest dance costumes we have at MMHS.  Only five years old, so not too bad!  That's one great thing about being a new school.
These costumes went with the dance routine we did the very first year.  It had a "bollywood" feel to it.  I remember we stressed about these costumes too!  The fabric wasn't exactly what we wanted, but it worked out anyway and I've had these particular costumes borrowed a few times already too!  Everything old is new again--they were old to me, but new to the girls!
Team prayer before the performance
Madeline Froerer - it's always fun to see the team perform a new routine.  We get to see how it looks and what we need to improve on for competition.
Haylie Nelson - I loved the sparkly top of these costumes.
Laney Melton - I also liked the arm band that laced up their arm.
These "wings" are made to fly!
 It was a fun performance!
They did a great job--but it was even better the next time we performed it in the new costumes.

The new costumes!

They looked really good on the floor!
The color and the sequins are my favorite!
I also loved that we got new rhinestone chokers and bracelets!
 Laney Melton
The costumes really complement the routine well!

It was a fun performance, especially in the new costumes!
