Hollie's Mission Farewell

In the October General Conference, President Monson announced that the age for serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was being lowered.  When I heard that, I knew that Hollie would be putting her papers in!

That is exactly what she did and she received her call to the Orlando Florida Mission.

On March 10, 2013, was her mission farewell.  We went up to her ward to listen to her speak.  She did a great job!  The Bishop called up Tanya, Hollie's mom, to speak as well.  She did great too.  She made mention of the fact that it was going to be a hard time getting through the meeting when you are crying during the opening song.   The song was "Called to Serve".  I agree--when they play that song at mission farewell, it is a tear-jerker!

After the meeting, there was a get-together at the May's house.  There were quite a few people there, mainly family.  There was long line to get food that went right out the front door of their house.
Kendrick, in line for food, and excited to see his Aunt, Emmalee!
Emmalee Holdaway - I love her hair cut short like this, she looks so cute.
Kendrick - having a great time!
Scott with Kaycee and her two kids - Emmalee and Jakob.
 Hollie and Kendrick joined in.
 Father and daughter.
 Me, Kendrick, Hollie, and Scott
The whole fam - Kaycee, Hollie- holding Kendrick, Me, Scott- holding Emmalee, and Amanda holding Jakob.

It was a good day and I'm glad that we were there to support Hollie.  It was also fun to see all of the family there showing their support as well.
