Ryan's 4th Birthday Party

Annie and Jim had a family birthday party for Ryan on Friday, February 24. Ryan's birthday isn't until March 2, but they had planned on having the party at the armory in Spanish Fork and that was a date that worked for them. But a few days before the party, they told Annie that she couldn't use the armory because they were not letting outside groups in because they had high levels of lead or something in the building.

So, luckily, she was able to use our stake center for the party. Annie had the party centered around a pirate theme and it was really cute. She had cute invitations and then there were fun "pirate" activities for the kids to do.

Kendrick had a ball just running around.
There was a treasure hunt that the kids went on. They had a pirate hat to wear, a telescope, an eye patch, and a hook to put on their hand! It was all so fun and cute.

There was even a plank to walk!

Ryan's cake was a pirate ship. Annie had made it and it was cute and delicious too!

A week later, on Saturday, March 3, we went to the movie, "The Lorax" with Annie, Jim and boys for Ryan's birthday. My mom, dad, and Joseph, Emilee and their kids came up and went too.
It was a cute movie and Kendrick did ok--He just wanted to walk around and see everyone that was sitting on our row. But the people in front of us didn't appreciate him pulling on their chair, etc. So, Scott had to take him out for a bit. I think Kendrick is still a little young for sitting still and watching a full movie.
Here is a picture collage that I stole from my sister Annie's blog:
We had a great time--at least when Kendrick was good. After the movie, we went to the Brick Oven for lunch. It was fun just to get out and do something. Hopefully as Kendrick gets older, we will be able to do more things that he can enjoy.
