Sophie & Nick's Birthday/Easter

Sunday, April 8, 2012, we went to my sister Paula's house.  They were having a birthday party for Nick & Sophie.  It was also Easter Sunday. 

When we arrived, most of the kids were outside playing.  It was a really nice day and it felt good to be able to be outside!  I love when we actually get a little bit of Spring! 

Kendrick headed for the sand pile.  He had a ball trying to shovel up the sand and put it in the wheelbarrow.

 Paula and Casey had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids.  They had hidden several plastic eggs throughout their backyard.  There were a few "golden" eggs that had money in them.  Hayden was the lucky winner this year.

It was a fun party.  I still can't believe they are five!  Time goes by fast--seems like yesterday they were tiny babies.

Easter Festivities 2012

Well, those of you that know me, know that I love to celebrate the holidays and do festive things.  So, Easter is one of those times that I like to do the fun, festive things, and also remember what the holiday is really about.

Our weekend started out with coloring eggs.  Here we are getting ready.  Not sure why Kendrick only has one of his Elmo slippers on?  He usually does that--takes one shoe off and not the other?

 Kendrick was having a good time, but he wanted to grab the eggs with his hands and I think he wanted to taste the colored water!

The next day on Saturday, April 7, we went down to Nephi to attend the annual Jackson Family Easter Egg hunt.  It was held at Aunt Lisa's house/yard.  We always have a good time hunting for our eggs and seeing all of our family.

Easter Sunday morning, before going to church, we had Kendrick find all of the Easter eggs that the Easter Bunny had left.

 He had a good time finding the eggs!

 Of course, he wanted to stop and eat the candy right away!

We had a great Easter!  It was a fun weekend.  Later that day we went out to Alpine to celebrate Nick and Sophie's birthdays.  More pics of that in the next post!

2012-13 MMHS Drill Team

The 2012-13 MMHS Elleves Drill Team were selected on April 5, 2012.  We have 20 members and 1 alternate.  We have 12 returning members and 8 new members. 

Following the tryouts, we had a get to know you party.  The moms of the month made this sign that all of the new members of the team signed:

 The new 2012-13 MMHS Elleves

It's going to be a fun year!  I'm always excited to start a new year.
