The Ellevés final invitational drill team competition was on January 11 at Murray High School. But, the night before, our captain, Jamie Topham competed in the solo competition. A few of the girls rode up with me to support her. Kendrick came along too, since Scott was tabulating!
Me and Kendrick, Laney, Tori, Jamie, Jourdyn, Hannah, Emily, and Brooke.
Jamie did awesome and we were so proud of her! She is an amazing dancer and has been a super president/captain.
The next morning we were back up a Murray High and ready to rock!
The team, watching the lyrical and officer routines - we had a big break until we performed our military.
The team had another great day! I'm so proud of this team and how much we have accomplished this year! It is an incredible experience as a coach to watch this team and all that they can accomplish together!
Drill Down!
We ended up with 4 girls placing in the drill down.
As a team we placed 1st in Hip Hop, 1st in Military, 1st in Dance, and 1st in Character!
We won the 4A Overall Trophy and an Exceptional Technique trophy from the judges!
Last invitational for these three-year seniors!
Our supportive and creative moms!
While waiting for the awards, they play music to keep the teams entertained. They played "Let it Go" from Frozen and nearly every girl was belting it out. Then they played "What Does the Fox Say?", which is a silly and kind of stupid song. Well, our team was dancing away, especially Brandi!
